Application Demo – XYZ Gantry
Four Step-Servo drives and motors run coordinated motion in three axes on the XYZ gantry demo. On the X and X' axes, there are two motors and drive sets, one on the Y axis, and a fourth on the Z axis. Over the Ether CAT network, synchronized motion commands are sent to the axes. Step-Servo closed-loop technology improves every aspect of stepper motor performance by creating a peak torque range that increases acceleration and machine throughput. This is done while reducing overall current consumption in the motor for less heating and greater efficiency. Products used in this demo include the following: • X and X' Axis Linear Actuators i.
