New Solution for Encoder Matching | ECU16 Series Launches New Products
MOONS' has unveiled the ECU16 series slotless brushless motors, equipped with the MA16 single-turn absolute encoder, designed for measurements within a 360° rotation range. Unlike incremental encoders that continuously count and require a reference point, the absolute encoder directly determines its position from the mechanical location. This means that when the rotation angle surpasses 360°, the encoder resets to its origin, allowing for precise positioning by reading the code directly from the disk. This feature significantly enhances the motor's resistance to interference and the data's reliability. This launch represents an expansion of the encoder product line, following last year's introduction of the M16 incremental encoder. Currently, MOONS' boasts an extensive portfolio of over 10 encoder product series, compatible with various types and sizes of coreless and slotless motors, spanning motors sizes from φ8 to φ22. This range includes a selection of different types and resolutions of encoders, such as magnetic and optical encoders, offering versatile options to meet diverse application requirements.
The MA16 single-turn absolute encoder, featuring a high-performance chip, significantly enhances the encoder's reliability and positioning precision. With a resolution of 12 bits, it offers options for two standard signal communication protocols: BISS-C and SSI. This encoder is designed to operate within a broad temperature range of -40 to 100 degrees Celsius, and its compact design boasts a minimal thickness of just 8.5mm. The MA16 single-turn absolute encoder is compatible with the ECU16 series motor, offering a comprehensive package of motor, gearbox, and absolute encoder within the same outer diameter dimensions. Additionally, it is also suitable for use with the ECU22 series motors, thereby broadening the range of options available to customers.
